Welcome to the Acting Now Blog

We are an independent theater company who believe that theater can help people to reflect on their lives and that it has the power to transform communities.

We have experience of working with theater in a variety of contexts in Spain, Italy, and Latin America.  We have worked with a wide range of people from various backgrounds including school children, misguided children and youths and those with learning difficulties, Latin American gangs, Gipsy communities, young people with mental disorders, children and immigrants.

We represent several Theatre Forums for reflecting with the spect-actors about social themes, such as bullying, relation between parents and sons , adolescence, macho violence, relation between different cultures

At Acting Now we use drama, theatre of oppressed , group dynamics , physical theatre    and community performances to create a space where people can share their experiences and improve their lives.  It is an ideal way for participants to express their emotions and worries and in doing so improve their quality of life.

We focus on the body, the mind, and the emotions connecting with the real life.

This blog is designed to provide information about Acting Now, our philosophy, our techniques, and our experience, and to explain the concepts of social theater and theater for the oppressed.
